What PSI is the Indy car at?

Indy cars can hit speeds upwards of 240 mph during a race, while F1 cars max out at around 220 mph.
Most gas engine's compression should be between 125 and 175 PSI while a diesel will generally fall between 275 and 400 PSI. Remember to write down each of your findings. If one or more cylinders looks to be way off in PSI, you can re-run the test again just to check.
In IndyCar, engine manufacturers have to comply with a strict set of rules that define displacement, cylinder count, and boost levels. Currently, the only engine configuration allowed is a twin-turbocharged 2.2-liter V-6.

What fuel does IndyCar use?
For now, Shell is keeping its recipe a secret. Last year, Indy cars ran on 100-octane fuel made from 85 percent ethanol derived from corn and 15 percent racing gasoline. Shell said this season's IndyCar fuel remains a 100-octane E85 blend.

Numbers higher than 200 psi create excessive cylinder pressure at low engine speeds, which turns the engine into a detonating monster.
But a good rule of thumb says that each cylinder in a mechanically sound engine should have compression of 130 psi or higher. While I've seen some people claim 100 psi is sufficient, the gearheads and other sources I've consulted consider that too low. In addition, you want consistency from one reading to the next.
Running compression at idle should be 50-75 PSI (about half cranking compression). Snap throttle compression should be about 80% of cranking compression.
